LS.12: Berlin @ Berghain

Chris Clark needs no further introduction. He was one of our first guests at Leisure System and, via Warp Records, has been for nearly a decade one of the most uncompromising and leading electronic music artists in the world. This time Clark will play his new MPC DJ set laying down his new club tracks along with his favorite dance music from Chicago to London.

Richard Devine is a heavyweight player in experimental dance music with releases on legendary labels Warp Records & Schematic. He is also one of the most influential sound-designers of the past fifteen years working closely with Native Instruments setting new standards for synthesized sounds. At Leisure System he will present his most danceable output to date, making a special Devine techno live set.

Bok Bok likes house music and basslines. He started the Night Slugs label under two years ago and it has quickly become one of the most important dance labels in the world. Taking a youthful and fresh approach to dancemusic and combining tuff percussive drum patterns, huge melodies and of course big basslines, Bok Bok rocks the party you have been warned.

Jackson (of "Jackson & his Computer Band" fame) shares some of the most important similarities with his famous namesakes: His music both incorporates the funk of Michael Jackson and the ice-cold coolness of Samuel L. Jackson. For Leisure System Jackson is in DJ mode and no doubt will be weaving together his favorite sexy & slamming house, techno, electro that you can only get from a Parisian with over 15 years experience.

Eprom is one of USA's hottest bass music exports, combining Hip hop and electronic music into an exciting sonic apocalypse. He is a master of this slower yet very danceable style that has caught the ears, hearts and feet of a whole new generation of beat lovers. His sound combines a laid-back lean with forward-moving energy, reflecting the feeling of the Left Coast and are constantly on heavy rotation by the likes of Gilles Peterson, Gaslamp Killer or Flying Lotus and with his first 12" for Leisure System Records things will get even hotter for Eprom in 2011.

Pixelord is as diverse and multifaceted as his home country Russia. After his critically acclaimed releases for Error Broadcast and Car Crash Set, he will debut on Leisure System Records with the labels first four-tracker. On this release he will show off his diversity as a producer, delivering both garagy club-bangers and deep after-hour reflections with a playful 8-bit touch.

The night will be supported by our residents Sam Barker, who will be Leisure System third record release in autumn, and Area Boy.
