LEISURE SYSTEM

Our last ‘Leisure System’ of 2014 in Berlin is also the hardest. Leading the pack is none other than legendary mayhem-maker Venetian Snares, emerging from hibernation in Winnipeg to perform in Berlin for the first time since 2012, following this year's release of ‘My Love Is A Bulldozer’ on Planet Mu. 25-year-old Brit Tessela is at the forefront of a hardcore revival, securing a residency on BBC Radio One following his addictive sample-flip of Loleatta Holloway on “Hackney Parrot” and two EPs of broken-beat bangers on R&S.

DMX Krew returns to Berghain for a dj set, bringing the unpredictable danceability of a long history with Rephlex Records. Rob Clouth, who released the ‘Clockwork Atom’ EP on Leisure System in April and has since opened for Jon Hopkins, will showcase his unique blend of glitchy beats and lush melodies with a live set – think somewhere between Hopkins and Autechre, Richard Devine and Nils Frahm. We're also proud to host Bintus, head of Berlin's ever-impressive label Power Vacuum, who will showcase plentiful distorted rave bangers in what's sure to be a searing closing set. Rounding out the lineup is Leisure System label manager and newly-installed resident Gonsher.
